Southam College

Project Brief

Gecon worked with a valued client on this project – delivering one of the countries fist carbon net zero schools. Being one of the first 100 projects within this scheme, the school is a ‘pathfinder’ for the sustainable design of future school buildings.

The fit-for-purpose building consists of new facilities such as science labs, a hall, drama studios, 3D art room, a sixth form base along with many other spaces to house its existing 1652 students.

At Gecon, we are proud to be a part of this sustainable project: from ensuring a reduction in the embodied carbon used in the construction materials to providing the school with a strategy to maintain their net zero position.
